Support The Gang of Dads Mentoring Program

for as little as $5.00 per month

In January 2014, a mentoring collaboration between the Greater New Haven Help Alliance and the New Haven Family Alliance was launched with the matching of nine screened and trained mentors with young men ages 8 to 18. We're already making a difference, not only in the lives of our young mentees, but in their families as well!. It''s working!  We're excited to be launching our second cohort of mentors in the very near future.

In addition to one-on-one weekly communication between the mentors and their mentees,  Gang of Dads offers monthly group meetings, ongoing mentor training, guest speakers, and periodic outings.  The two Program Directors, the Volunteer Coordinator and the Mentors all volunteer their services, No one is paid.  It's the critical need for male involvement here in the city of New Haven that compels us to report for duty!

And yet, while the staff is all volunteer there are costs associated with conducting meetings, supplying food, funding outings and offering honorariums to powerful guest speakers.  We're looking for partners who can contribute as little as $5.00 per month to help sustain our effort.. Please know that your contribution of $5, $10, or $20 per month over a 12 month period will go a long way to undergird and positively direct the lives of at risk young men!
